Interpersonal Therapy (IPT)
Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) can be applied in a number of contexts including problems in relationships with others including disputes and conflicts, bereavement and major life changes. It works on the assumption that depression and anxiety can arise from isolation and or difficulty in getting along with others. It tends to be time limited and 12 to 16 sessions is often the length of therapy. In the therapy you will work with the Therapist to explore and gain a greater understanding of your concerns, analyse your way of relating to others and feel supported by feeling listened to by your therapist.
